The Woos began long before it became a store. It started as a family tradition. I grew up in Akron, Ohio, the Rubber Capital of the world, where hardworking, blue-collar families did whatever they needed to provide. My mother and grandmother often visited Goodwill, Salvation Army, and local yard sales to find the things we needed, wanted, or simply couldn’t pass up.

As kids, we didn’t always want to admit where our treasures came from, so our family came up with a code word: “The Woos.” Instead of saying we bought something secondhand, we’d proudly say it came from The Woos. Over time, that word came to represent more than just thrift shopping; it symbolized resourcefulness, value, and finding hidden gems.

Today, I’ve carried that tradition forward by creating The Woos as a store. We offer a little bit of everything, bringing you the same great finds, deals, and excitement my family experienced growing up.
